I am currently the Inventory and Order Manager at our hospital, as well as serving my normal technician duties. I also oversee most of the clinical trials that our hospital participates in. I manage our social media and online presence, as well, and love to interact with our clients on our Facebook page!
Favorite Vetcove Tip
I love being able to not only see who currently has hard-to-find items in stock, but that by clicking on the "orders" button under the item listing, I can see when I ordered the item over the last year and what distributor I used. I can also see what I paid for it, each time, all at a glance!
Favorite Veterinary Life Hack
Sometimes, all a scared or aggressive cat needs is a place to hide! We either roll a towel into a little round bed for them, or wrap a t-shirt around a small plastic wastebasket and place it in the cage with them. We also have small quilted cage covers that we can strap to the front of the cage if the cat prefers. They have a small window for visualizing the cat in them, so we can take a look at the patient without disturbing them. Many times, they will settle down and rest/eat/calm down as soon as they feel safe!
Reasons I love working in the veterinary field
I love veterinary science, and continuing to learn something new almost every day. I love the feeling of helping a pet parent make good choices for their beloved animal companions, saving lives, easing grief, and solving problems! Making sure we have the medications and supplies we need to perform these services is another great part of the job!
