Job Description

Vetcove is the largest marketplace for veterinarians to compare and buy everything they need to run their hospitals. Many thousands of veterinary hospitals use our platform every day to buy the supplies they need to deliver world-class care to millions of America's pets. In less than three years since the company was founded, Vetcove has become the preferred platform of more than 20% of America's vet hospitals. Our platform makes a very time-consuming, frustrating, and expensive buying process incredibly easy by bringing all vendors into one website. The concept is a lot like Kayak or Trivago for vet hospitals, and our customers love us.

We're looking for an ambitious self-starter to develop personal relationships with veterinary hospitals, drive customer acquisition, and educate the animal health community about our platform. Your mission will be to reach the 80% of the market that hasn't heard of us yet. These hospitals are wasting thousands of dollars and countless hours every week doing things by hand and over the phone. You'll utilize your tenacity, quick wits, and magnetic personality to win over veterinarians and their staff, and show them toward a digital future. You'll be making an incredibly tangible impact on their lives, and their businesses.


As a Veterinary Account Executive, you'll work in concert with our customer success and marketing teams to develop a winning sales strategy that gets results. Each day, you'll get in touch with decision-makers and win them over. Your personal touch will be an essential part of our customer acquisition funnel to raise awareness, build trust, and convert customers.

You'll have immense resources at your disposal to make this a reality. You'll be promoting a beloved product that retains more than 99% of our users on a monthly basis, and will be supported by the industry's most exceptional technology team comprised of (mostly) MIT software engineers.


  • Lead Vetcove's outbound sales strategy to bring veterinary hospitals onto our platform
  • Collaborate with marketing and customer success teams to create a winning strategy that brings customers in the door, educates and gets them excited, and converts them with high certainty
  • Be a first point of contact for interested prospects that wish to learn what Vetcove is and how it works
  • Discover who the decision-maker is at each practice and get phone time with them
  • Bring interested customers directly to a signup or to schedule a 1-on-1 demo with our customer success team
  • Own our outbound sales function and be responsible for its success and ROI


  • You have 2+ years of sales experience, with a track record of outsized success and smashed quotas
  • You're tenacious, ambitious, and are willing to work day-in and day-out to drive incredible results.
  • You don't take "no" for an answer, and don't take it personally. You believe a "no" is only a "no for now".
  • You're excited and able to own our outbound sales function and feel comfortable being fully responsible for its success
  • You enjoy a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • You're a bulldog when it comes to getting results, but are laid back and easygoing when it comes to collaborating with the team
  • You're extremely organized, diligent about logging your activities in our CRM, and following up with prospects at scheduled intervals
  • You're patient, and don't get discouraged with prospects that aren't great with technology or are set in their ways
  • You're incredibly likable, and people want to be around you and work with you

  • Reaching small & medium-sized businesses (SMBs)
  • Getting past front desk gatekeepers to get your message heard

The compensation is a starting point, and Vetcove will balance compensation and individual contribution as personal and company goals are met and the overall business grows. A bonus of 20% to 200% will be available based on performance hurdles.
